RC Strasbourg Alsace are reportedly interested in pursuing a deal for Olympique Lyonnais` 20-year-old right-back, Saël Kumbedi.
The young defender had a promising debut season in the 2022/23 campaign but has struggled for consistent playing time subsequently.
He saw limited action after Pierre Sage was appointed mid-way through the 2023/24 season, where he made only a few appearances.
As Lyon enters a period of financial tightening after successfully avoiding relegation issues, there`s a push to offload players this summer. Kumbedi`s value is thought to remain stable, even with his reduced appearances.
Strasbourg had shown interest last summer and may reignite their pursuit. The move might be attractive to Kumbedi, given how Strasbourg, or `Le Racing` as they are known, have demonstrated a willingness to feature and develop promising young players aiming to prove themselves.
