According to L`Equipe, Strasbourg is on the verge of signing 16-year-old Manchester City Academy prospect Tyrese Noubissie. Despite a long-term contract offer from the Citizens, the young French midfielder is set to sign his first professional deal with the French club. Two years ago, City acquired Noubissie, then 14, from Leicester Academy in a €1.2 million transfer.
Strasbourg successfully outmaneuvered several prominent European clubs, including Manchester United, AFC Ajax, and Bayer Leverkusen, all of whom had recently shown interest in the France U16 international. Noubissie is recognized as a versatile midfielder, notably having captained France`s U16 side in the recent Montaigu Tournament.
Reportedly, Noubissie`s signing aligns with BlueCo`s strategic initiative to provide playing time for high-potential young players, enabling them to flourish and develop in the competitive environment of Ligue 1.
