Pakistan`s Saim Ayub has claimed the top spot as the new No. 1 all-rounder in men`s T20I rankings, while India`s opener Abhishek Sharma has achieved a record-breaking rating, further solidifying his lead in the T20I batting charts.
All-Rounder Rankings
Ayub ascended four places to lead the all-rounder rankings, displacing India`s Hardik Pandya to second. During the Asia Cup, Ayub impressively took eight wickets in six innings with an economy rate of just 6.40 runs per over, despite scoring only 37 runs across seven innings. Afghanistan`s Mohammad Nabi fell to third, with Nepal`s Dipendra Singh Airee and Zimbabwe`s Sikandar Raza rounding out the top five.
Batting Dominance by Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek, already leading the batting charts, reached an unprecedented 931 rating points after his half-century against Sri Lanka. This achievement surpasses Dawid Malan`s previous best of 919 points from 2020. Abhishek, who only made his debut last year, concluded the Asia Cup with an impressive 314 runs at an average of 44.85 and a strike-rate of 200, earning him the Player-of-the-Tournament award.
Abhishek currently holds an 82-point lead over England`s Phil Salt, who is in second place, followed by India`s Tilak Varma at third. Jos Buttler retains the fourth position, while Pathum Nissanka moved up to fifth after contributing 261 runs in the Asia Cup.
Bowling Standouts
In the bowling rankings, Varun Chakravarthy maintained his No. 1 position after securing seven wickets in the Asia Cup. Kuldeep Yadav made a significant leap of nine places to 12th after his 17-wicket performance in the tournament. Shaheen Afridi climbed 12 spots to share the 13th position, and Bangladesh`s Rishad Hossain advanced six places to 20th.
