Italian Serie A club, Torino, has reportedly submitted an official offer for Toulouse FC`s 25-year-old forward, Zakaria Aboukhlal. This development, initially reported by Gianluca Di Marzio and subsequently confirmed by L’Équipe, suggests that discussions between the two clubs are now in progress.
The Moroccan international, who has found the net 20 times in 76 Ligue 1 appearances since his arrival in 2022, is not expected to be retained by Toulouse beyond the current season. His contract is set to expire, making him a prime candidate for a summer transfer.
While the precise financial terms of Torino`s bid have not been disclosed, sources indicate that the offer is substantial enough to facilitate meaningful negotiations. Aboukhlal himself expressed his readiness for a new challenge back in late June, a sentiment that could significantly expedite his potential move to Italy.
Despite the ongoing transfer discussions, the Moroccan attacker has traveled with Le TéFéCé`s squad to Germany. They are scheduled to play against RB Leipzig on Saturday, a match where Aboukhlal might even be seen wearing the captain`s armband.
