Juventus manager Igor Tudor shared his perspectives during a pre-match press conference, expressing satisfaction with his team`s current form but cautioning against premature predictions for their Serie A or Champions League campaigns. The Bianconeri are set to face Villarreal in a crucial Champions League fixture on Wednesday evening.
Coming off a thrilling 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund in their last European outing, Juventus has now registered three consecutive draws across all competitions, including a 1-1 stalemate with Atalanta in their recent league match. Despite these results, Tudor remains optimistic about his squad`s readiness.
“The team is performing exceptionally well; they delivered a superb, disciplined, and balanced performance against Atalanta just three days ago. For tomorrow`s Champions League match, everyone is eager and highly motivated to play a top-level game,” Tudor stated to the press on Tuesday evening.
Tudor on Player Opportunities: Yildiz, David, Vlahovic, and Openda
Contrary to earlier reports suggesting a potential rest for Kenan Yildiz, Tudor confirmed the Turkish talent would be in the starting lineup. “Yildiz will play; there`s no fatigue issue. The team covered 122km against Atalanta, so we put in a significant effort,” he clarified.

Unfortunately, Bremer and Khephren Thuram sustained minor issues during the Atalanta draw and were not included in the squad traveling to Villarreal. Tudor anticipates their return for the upcoming match against Milan. “They have a couple of problems which means they can’t play, but they should make it back for the game against Milan,” Tudor mentioned.
Addressing the competition among his three prominent strikers – Jonathan David, Dusan Vlahovic, and Lois Openda – Tudor views the Champions League as a prime opportunity. “The Champions League serves as a platform for all players. They all want to play, and they are all strong individuals,” Tudor responded.

“I’m pleased to have all three. I consistently communicate with them to ensure they all feel valued. All three are excellent individuals and formidable players. I speak with them daily and admire their mentality. All three will provide significant assistance to the team. We had a good discussion during training, and I believe they are all in good spirits. We talked about everything, including potential challenges. They are all eager and focused on contributing, whether starting or coming on as substitutes.”
Regarding their opponents, Villarreal, Tudor remarked: “They are a well-balanced team and perform strongly when playing at home. Like us, they have their strengths and areas for improvement. We must ensure we capitalize on our strengths.”

As for his expectations for the season`s outcome, Tudor remained cautious. “We’ve only just begun. While some are making assessments, there are still 33 games left in the league. Sunday`s match (against Milan) will be a good one, but tomorrow is about the Champions League. It’s too early to make any definitive statements; my primary concern is the team’s well-being. I always aim to win, as do the players who push themselves and make sacrifices. As a coach, I remain focused on the team. Football is beautiful because it’s unpredictable, but I believe the team is currently in good shape.”
