In the world of international football management, salaries often reflect experience and prestige. Carlo Ancelotti is poised to become the highest-paid national team coach globally, a list that also surprisingly includes 2006 World Cup champion Fabio Cannavaro. Notably absent from this elite group, however, is Italy`s current national team manager, Gennaro Gattuso.
A recent compilation by La Gazzetta dello Sport sheds light on the top ten highest-earning international coaches, featuring two prominent former Italian internationals: Ancelotti and Cannavaro.
Fabio Cannavaro, who recently accepted the role of head coach for the Uzbekistan national team, impressively ranks fourth on this list. His annual salary stands at a substantial €4 million, placing him on par with Roberto Martinez, the coach of Portugal.

Another familiar name for Serie A enthusiasts, Didier Deschamps – a former Juventus midfielder and coach – holds the sixth position, earning €3.8 million annually as the esteemed head coach of the French national team.
Ancelotti Set to Be the Highest-Paid International Coach
Carlo Ancelotti, soon to lead the Brazilian national team, is confirmed as the highest-paid international coach, commanding a remarkable salary of €9.5 million per year. This figure significantly overshadows the remuneration of many other national team managers.
In stark contrast to these top earners, Italy`s new national team coach, Gennaro Gattuso, finds himself far from the figures seen in the top 10. According to Italian sources, Gattuso has agreed to an annual salary of €800,000, with an additional €1 million bonus contingent on the Azzurri successfully qualifying for the World Cup.
