Udinese and Watford Link Up for Kjerrumgaard Signing

Football & Cricket

Udinese and Watford are reportedly collaborating on a deal to sign Odense BK captain Luca Kjerrumgaard for a fee around €5 million. The player was previously linked with a move to Serie A side Torino.

Reports suggest Udinese would formally acquire the 22-year-old Danish striker before immediately loaning him to the English Championship club, Watford. The anticipated structure for the transfer involves an initial loan period to Watford with an obligation for the club to make the move permanent later.

The potential transfer is valued at approximately €5 million. It is reported that Kjerrumgaard might undergo a medical examination in England as early as this weekend, suggesting the deal is nearing completion.

This collaborative approach to transfers between Udinese and Watford is a common practice, largely due to both clubs being owned by the Pozzo family, which allows for synergy in player recruitment and movement.

Kjerrumgaard, a product of the Odense youth system, has earned four caps for Denmark at the Under-21 level, scoring one goal. He had a prolific season for Odense last term, demonstrating his attacking prowess by netting 22 goals and providing seven assists across 29 competitive appearances.
