USA TO CO-HOST THE 2024 WORLD CUP: ICC MEN’S T20 BREAKS GROUND. Dominica withdrew from hosting its assigned T20 World Cup matches for the next year, citing in an official declaration on Thursday, that it would not be able to fulfil the timetable for stadium building completion. Of the seven Caribbean nations considered for hosting responsibilities, Dominica, with Windsor Park as the venue of choice, was designated to host one group match and two Super Eight games.

After significant efforts to renovate Benjamin’s Park and Windsor Park Sports Stadium which included building more pitches and enhancing practise and game areas the government revealed that the contractors’ estimated schedules suggested they wouldn’t be able to finish the required work in time for the tournament to start.

Given Dominica’s distinguished history of hosting cricket international matches, it is thought that this choice is optimal for all parties concerned.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take off in June 2024 and make its way to the United States, a new continent. The West Indies, who hosted the tournament in 2010, and the United States will now alternate hosting duties for the esteemed cricket competition.

The tournament’s venues will be chosen from the Caribbean Islands and the United States; Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida, and Nassau County in New York have been named as important sites.
