The U.S. Women`s National Team (USWNT) is set to conclude its calendar year with two friendly matches against Italy, a formidable semifinalist from the 2025 UEFA European Championship. These fixtures will take place in Florida, following their October games against Portugal. The first match is scheduled for November 28 in Orlando, with the second wrapping up the year on December 1 in Fort Lauderdale.
This upcoming series marks the first encounter between Italy and the United States in more than ten years. Their last confrontation was during a FIFA Women`s World Cup playoff in 2010, where the USWNT emerged victorious with a 2-0 win, securing their spot in the 2011 FIFA Women`s World Cup.
Both national teams are experiencing significant momentum as the year draws to a close. The USWNT recently secured two victories against Ireland. Meanwhile, Italy aims to capitalize on their strong performance in the Women`s Euros, where `Le Azzurre` (ranked 12th globally) narrowly lost to eventual champions England in overtime due to a late goal.
