As a result, Rongier`s representatives have reportedly been actively searching for a potential transfer for several weeks. The midfielder originally joined Marseille in 2019 from his boyhood club, FC Nantes, and was a long-serving member and former captain of the squad.
Previously, Sunderland AFC, Stade Rennais, and Como 1907 were linked with the player. However, these clubs seem to have cooled their interest, potentially due to Marseille`s reported asking price of €10 million, which was considered too high by the Premier League side.
