Vaughan teases Hafeez once again, after Kohli took wicket in IND vs NED

Vaughan teases Hafeez once again, after Kohli took wicket in IND vs NED. Following his dismissal against Virat Kohli on Sunday, November 12, former England captain Michael Vaughan again poked fun at former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez.

This happened following Virat Kohli’s dismissal of Netherlands skipper Scott Edwards during India vs. Netherlands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the 2023 World Cup. Edwards was removed by Kohli, and KL Rahul, the wicketkeeper, made an excellent catch.

“Don’t worry Hafeez..Your not the only one,” Vaughan commented on X (previously Twitter) after tagging Hafeez in a post following his firing.

For those who don’t know, Vaughan recently shared his dismissal by Virat Kohli, which was a jab at Hafeez. This occurred after the cricket player from Pakistan chastised Kohli for taking his time to reach his 49th century in a match against South Africa. That was a 243-run victory for India.

“This World Cup has seen three instances of Virat Kohli’s selfishness in his batting, in my opinion. Hafeez had stated, “He didn’t put the team first; he was looking to take a single to reach his own hundred in the 49th over.”

“Rohit Sharma could have played selfish cricket too, but he didn’t because he is playing for Team India and not for himself,” he explained.

It appears to me, Hafeez, that you were bowled by Kohli! Vaughan commented in response to Hafeez on X. Do you poke fun at him all the time for this reason?

Recall that in a 2012 T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan, Kohli had bowled Hafeez. In international cricket, the 35-year-old has taken nine wickets, five of which have come in one-day formats.

In addition to Edwards and Hafeez, Alastair Cook, Craig Kieswetter, Quinton de Kock, Brendon McCullum, Kevin Pietersen, Samit Patel, and Johnson Charles were among the players that Kohli removed from the game.
