AC Milan is conducting an exceptionally thorough series of medical examinations on Victor Boniface, the Bayer Leverkusen striker. These in-depth checks, which began on Friday, August 23, are expected to continue into Saturday.
The proposed transfer involves a loan agreement valued at approximately €5 million, with an option to make the move permanent for an additional €25 million.
Boniface initiated his medical process yesterday, undergoing assessments at both Milan`s club facilities and the mandatory CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) examinations.
Following these initial checks, he proceeded to the Galeazzi Hospital in Milan for even more detailed evaluations.
Milan`s Unprecedented Scrutiny of Boniface`s Health

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan specifically recalled their trusted orthopedic surgeon from his holiday to personally conduct examinations on Boniface, highlighting the club`s serious concerns.
Despite these rigorous checks, it appears more tests are required, as Boniface is scheduled for further assessments on Saturday morning before the Rossoneri finalize the transfer.
Last season, Boniface`s performance for Bayer Leverkusen was impacted by a string of muscular issues, limiting him to only 27 competitive appearances. Despite this, he still managed to score 11 goals and provide two assists.
His medical history also includes two past anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgeries on his knees, one in March 2019 and another in November 2020. This significant injury record is clearly a key factor in Milan`s meticulous approach to his potential signing.
