Juventus player Lloyd Kelly expressed satisfaction with the emergence of consequences for racial abuse in football, yet he emphasized that significant progress is still needed to fully address the issue.

The rise of social media has unfortunately coincided with an escalation of racist incidents, posing a challenge for clubs and governing bodies trying to curb such conduct both online and within stadiums.
Kelly Acknowledges Efforts Against Racism but Highlights Remaining Challenges
Kelly stated, “I want to be clear that efforts are definitely underway. I cannot deny that actions are being taken to combat and eradicate racism from football.”
However, he added, “Yet, I believe we still have a considerable journey ahead. It`s inherently challenging to technically manage what is beyond your direct control, isn`t it?”
“Nonetheless,” Kelly continued, “the trajectory is positive, as we are beginning to witness consequences for individuals perpetrating racist abuse and discrimination between supporters and athletes. Despite this, more work remains essential.”
The complete podcast episode with Kelly is scheduled for release on Juventus` official YouTube channel on Thursday, October 16th.
