Luka Modric has concluded his playing commitments with Real Madrid following their elimination from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. This means the experienced midfielder is now poised to officially complete his move to AC Milan.
He is expected to arrive in Italy early next week. The purpose of his trip is to undergo the required medical checks and sign the necessary documents to officially become a new player for Milan.
The 39-year-old, who spent 13 seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu, is set to sign a one-year contract with Milan, including an option to extend for an additional 12 months. His anticipated earnings are approximately €3 million per season over this period.
When will Modric begin training with Milan?

Although Modric’s arrival in Italy is scheduled for the start of the coming week, fans of the Rossoneri may need to be patient a little longer before they see the former Ballon d’Or winner in action.
It is anticipated that he will take a short holiday once his medical and contract signing procedures are finished, given the length of his recent season which began 11 months ago.
However, reports suggest Modric is prepared to shorten his vacation slightly in order to quickly settle in at Milanello, the club`s training ground. Predictions indicate he is likely to commence training alongside his new teammates during the week starting August 4th.
