Napoli has successfully reached an agreement for the acquisition of Miguel Gutierrez, valuing the Girona player at €20 million, and has already settled on personal terms with him. Despite these advancements, the Italian club has yet to make a final decision regarding the transfer.
Gutierrez, a left-back, celebrated his 24th birthday just last month. He is a product of Real Madrid`s prestigious youth academy, having transitioned to Girona FC in 2022.
Gutierrez`s Personal Terms with Napoli Already Agreed
As was previously reported earlier in the week, Napoli`s initial interest in Gutierrez emerged in mid-May. However, the club subsequently diverted its attention to address other pressing matters within the squad.
At the time, it was also noted that a definitive decision would not be made within 24-48 hours from Wednesday, as the club required more time to thoroughly evaluate the situation.
Indeed, as of Sunday, Napoli still has not finalized the transfer. This ongoing delay is primarily attributed to the club`s strategy of awaiting the results of two upcoming friendly matches: one scheduled against Brest today, and another against Casertana tomorrow morning.
These matches are expected to provide the necessary insights for Napoli to determine whether to fully commit to signing Gutierrez or to explore alternative investments in other key positions for the team.
