World Cup 2023 Squad Submission Headline is Set for August 29 by the ICC

World Cup 2023 squad submission deadline is set for August 29 by the ICC. The deadline to submit the squads for the ICC World Cup has been set for August 29th by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This means that all of the participating teams now have just two months to fix and finalize their squad for the major event. India, which has not yet chosen its chief selector, is currently facing difficult circumstances.

“At our tournaments, the initial squad submission deadline is 30 days prior to the start of the support periods. One week prior to the competitions, the support periods begin. Before the support period, adjustments may be made without seeking approval; however, once it begins, the Event Technical Committee must approve substitutions.” according to the ICC’s statement to InsideSport.

The teams will need to be submitted to the ICC five weeks prior to the start of the tournament because, according to the ICC Draft schedule, the tournament is scheduled to begin on October 5th. According to ICC regulations, the squad submission must be made one month before the start of the support period. The support period now starts one week before the competition.

Therefore, the BCCI will need to submit the squad weeks, and the ICC has set a deadline of August 29th. The selectors’ and BCCI’s jobs are not simple. The chief selector will have to put together the ideal team as soon as he joins so that they can compete well in the tournament. On June 27 in Mumbai, the World Cup schedule will be unveiled. The release of the World Cup schedule will commemorate the mega event’s 100th day. The 50-over ODI World Cup starts on October 5.

Regarding the Indian team’s injury concerns, star sprinter Jasprit Bumrah is scheduled to make a comeback just before the World Cup. As part of his preparation for the major event, Bumrah is reportedly going to participate in the India Tour of Ireland. Bumrah hasn’t played since September of last year.

Rishabh Pant has recovered well, but it’s unclear if he’ll be ready for the World Cup. KL Rahul, who sustained a hamstring injury, is preparing for the Asia Cup, in contrast. But it’s highly unlikely that Shreyas Iyer, who had back surgery, will be fully recovered in time for the Asia Cup.
