English club Leeds United and a Ligue 1 team (whose name was not disclosed) are reportedly interested in signing attacking player Yusuf Yazıcı, aged 28.
Yazıcı started his professional career in Turkey with Trabzonspor. He played 100 matches for the club, scoring 22 goals, before moving to French side LOSC Lille in August 2019.
Finding it difficult to establish himself as a consistent starter at Lille, he spent time away on loan twice. First, he joined CSKA Moscow for the latter part of the 2021–22 season, netting eight goals in just 10 Russian Premier League games. The following season (2022–23), he returned to his former club Trabzonspor on loan.
Yazıcı was back at Lille for the 2023–24 season. He featured 42 times in total and made a significant impact, especially during their UEFA Conference League campaign, where he scored five goals in 12 matches.
The Turkish international player recently moved to Olympiacos on a free transfer in September 2024. However, his time there has been brief so far, as he has only played one match due to suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
