According to Sky Sport Italia, Young Boys have increased their demands for Zachary Athekame. Despite this, AC Milan has established a firm upper limit of €10 million for the transfer, a figure that the player himself is reportedly enthusiastic about.
Earlier reports suggested an agreement was close, valuing the deal at approximately €9 million, including performance-related add-ons, after an initial €7 million bid was rejected.
Athekame Transfer Still Pending

However, Gianluca Di Marzio reported recently that Young Boys are aiming for a higher fee for their key player, believing that other interested clubs could initiate a bidding war.
AC Milan, however, is unwilling to exceed their €10 million valuation, which includes potential bonuses, and considers this their absolute maximum expenditure for the player.
The Rossoneri are bolstered by the knowledge that Athekame himself prioritizes a move to San Siro and will collaborate with his representatives to facilitate the transfer.
Should the transfer materialize, the 20-year-old would become AC Milan`s second Swiss acquisition this week, following Ardon Jashari`s move from Club Brugge.
