70 Days to go and Still no World Cup 2023 Tickets, what happened?

70 days to go and still no World Cup 2023 tickets, what happened? With only 70 days until the World Cup 2023, the clock is ticking, yet no tickets have been released. The postponement of the India-Pakistan match is likely to cause the delay in announcement. With BCCI secretary Jay Shah scheduled to meet with World Cup organizers on July 27, an announcement is expected soon.

“We’re considering our options, and we’ll make a decision soon.” According to a top BCCI official who requested anonymity, security officials advised against scheduling a high-profile match like India against Pakistan since spectators would be stretched thin owing to Navratri. Hundreds of thousands of travelling fans are expected.

Aside from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), no other World Cup venues have published their ticket prices. While the BCCI was furious with CAB for releasing rates, it has committed to collaborate with the ICC to speed up the ticketing process.

InsideSport previously revealed that the BCCI is working closely with fans to provide a seamless experience. The BCCI does not want a stampede-like situation in any of the WC sites and is working hard to streamline the ticketing procedure.

“There are still a few details to iron out.” The ticketing system is being updated. That is why it is taking so long. There will be extensive digitization to provide fans with a seamless experience. Hopefully, everything will be resolved by the end of next week. You should be aware that this is an ICC event organised by the local organising committee and state organisations. As a result, it’s a difficult procedure,” a top BCCI official told InsideSport.

According to The Economic Times, tickets for the ICC World Cup 2023 will be available online soon. Cricket lovers and enthusiasts all around the world can pre-order tickets through the official ICC Cricket World Cup website.

Moreover, tickets will be available through Bookmyshow, Paytm, and Paytm Insiders. The tickets will be largely accessible online, with only a few available in person.  The ticket prices would range between Rs 500 and Rs 10,000 each ticket. Prices will vary depending on the venue and the match.
