He was a bit edgy at the start of the inning but recovered well after the initial burst from South African batters. Virat Kohli was fluent during his innings. He was 39 off 41 balls with 7 fours. Sri Lanka dropped a few easy chances that could be grabbed.

Dilshan Madushanka was the only bowler who was among the wickets. But he proved expensive a bit removing Rohit Sharma in the first over. Chameera bowled very well. His first two overs were maiden.
