A legislator from New York City asked ICC chair Greg Barclay to take the Twenty20 World Cup matches in her city into consideration as evidence of the same.
Notably, the USA and the West Indies will co-host the upcoming T20I World Cup in 2024. Additionally, a delegation from the ICC named New York as one of the most likely locations to host World Cup games in 2024. The Staten Island Cricket Club, which was established in 1872, is also proud to be the oldest continuously operating cricket club in the United States, according to Rajkumar.
