The highest wicket-taker in the 2019 edition was Mitchell Starc, who claimed 27 wickets in just 10 matches. Shaheen Afridi amassed 16 wickets in the same competition.
The opening game of the 2023 ODI World Cup will take place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium, between England and New Zealand. The game is scheduled for October 5. India, the host nation, will face Australia in its inaugural game on October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.
