Agoda reports a 1702 percent increase in searches for Ahmedabad during the 2023 Cricket World Cup season. Agoda, a digital travel company, has shown a 1702 percent increase in searches for accommodations in Ahmedabad in the aftermath of the much-anticipated Cricket World Cup 2023.
This increase can be ascribed to the much anticipated India vs. Pakistan encounter, as well as the final, both of which will be contested at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Since its introduction, the athletic event has resulted in a 237% increase in overall searches for host cities across India.
While Ahmedabad has emerged as the clear fan choice, search volumes in Dharamshala [347%], Lucknow [225%], Hyderabad [199%], and Pune [169%] have all increased around the match dates.
