Marco Asensio, 29, has recently concluded his loan period at Aston Villa and returned to Paris Saint-Germain. However, a potential return to the Premier League club is strongly being considered, according to insights from L’Équipe.
Asensio experienced limited playing opportunities at PSG, often being confined to a substitute role. His move to Aston Villa on loan in January marked a significant resurgence in his form, where he impressively netted eight goals in 21 appearances across all competitions. While his initial loan deal has ended, Aston Villa maintains a keen interest in securing his services permanently. Manager Unai Emery is particularly eager to retain his compatriot at Villa Park for the upcoming season. Should a deal materialize, it is anticipated to be another loan agreement, as reported by L’Équipe.
Meanwhile, Turkish club Fenerbahçe has also expressed interest in recruiting the player. However, a financial agreement has not yet been reached between Asensio and the Turkish club, as the player is reportedly unwilling to make significant financial concessions to facilitate the transfer.
