The competition to acquire AS Monaco`s 21-year-old midfielder, Soungoutou Magassa, is intensifying. West Ham United and Nottingham Forest recently expressed their interest in the talented France youth international. Now, Serie A club Atalanta has also emerged as a strong suitor.
West Ham are reportedly in advanced negotiations for Magassa, a player also targeted by Nottingham Forest. The Hammers` initial offer of €16 million, potentially rising to €18 million with add-ons, was countered by Monaco. Despite the counter-proposal, the French club remains open to selling their academy graduate before the transfer window closes.
Magassa has reportedly approved a potential six-year contract with West Ham. However, Atalanta could still present a significant challenge for his signature. The Italian side has not yet submitted an official bid, but their interest is described as substantial.
