Australia Beat New Zealand by 5 Runs in a Nail-Biting Finish ICC World Cup 2023

What A Game of cricket another nail-biting finish. The World Cup is alive now after back-to-back nail-biting finishes. Yesterday, Pakistan vs South Africa, and today New Zealand vs Australia. Australia held their nerves at the end to get over the finish line. New Zealand chased down very well but just fell short. Certainly, these were the games that were missing to draw a crowd.

Chasing down a mammoth total of 388 runs, New Zealand was just shy of chasing down the target. But full credit to their batter who fought well till the end. Ravindra was the man who kept New Zealand in the game with his second 100 of the tournament.He scored 116 runs with a 130.33 strike rate.

Daryl Mitchell and Neesham also contributed to getting their team to chase down almost the highest total of the ICC World Cup history but couldn’t get over the line at the end. Neesham made 58 while Mitchell’s inning ended at 54. 

Australian bowlers were a bit expensive except for Cummins and Zampa. Except Starc all the remaining Australian bowlers got wickets. A great win for the men in yellow. The tournament is alive now.
