Australia Beat The Netherlands By 309 Runs A Comprehensive Victory for Australia In The ICC World Cup 2023

Australia is back on track after losing two games in a row at the start of the ICC World Cup 2023. Australia Stunned the Netherlands to brighten their hopes for the final four of the mega event. Australia won by 309 runs the biggest victory for Australia in the history of the ICC World Cup. Maxwell’s fastest and Warner’s consolidating tons helped them register their highest victory.

Australia is in the final 4 with a better run-rate which was not good before this game. They came with a purpose to win the match with a massive margin and they did it in the end. They need this victory to back on track.

Australia won the toss and elected bat first to put a massive total on the board which they did in the end by posting 399 on the board. David Warner and Maxwell were on top right from the word go. Even though Warner got a few chances to complete his ton in cricket you need some luck. Labuschagne and Smith’s inning also helped set up a solid platform for the team.

Maxwell is always a threat to the opposition and he proved that today by scoring the fastest 100 in the ICC World Cup history. He completed his century facing only 40 balls with the help of 9 fours and 8 maximums. He got a chance initially but after that, it was just one-way traffic.

Chasing 400 runs for any team is a mountain to climb. And teams like the Netherlands can’t chase such targets especially when you are up against such a brilliant bowling lineup. All Australian bowlers got wickets but Adam Zampa once again was the pick of the bowlers who had 4 wickets for the 3rd time consecutively, against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Netherlands.
