Afghanistani Openers: Rehmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran open the innings for AFG. Whereas, Bangladeshi Quick Taskin Ahmed gets the opportunity for beginning the attack from BAN.
Both openers set a solid platform for AFG and provide 47-run opening partnership stand. Ibrahim Zadran tries to sweeb the flighted delivery from Shakib but ends up getting a top edge which lands into the hands of Tanzid Hasan. AFg are 47/1 in 8.2 and Zadran goes for 22 off 25 hitting three 4s and one 6.
For the second wicket, Rehmat Shah joins well set Gurbaz and takes the team total to 83 but miscues the Shakib’s flighted delivery right after the 1st drink’s break. He leaves after scoring 18 off 25 striking at 72. AFG are 83/2 in 15.1.
This time too after getting set, the captain Hashmatullah Shahidi gives away his wicket to Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Hashmatullah comes down the track for a slog but miscues the hit and Towhid never misses the chance this time. Afghanistan are 112/4 in the 25th over of the innings.
Rehmanullah who was looking solid agaisnt the spin and pace, comes down the track followin his skipper but done and dusted by the slower ball form Mustafiz. No partnerhip this time as Gurbaz is sent back to the pavillion on 112/4 in the 26th over.
AFG batting line-up prove a wall of sand in front of BAN spin attack as Najibullah Zadran after scoring 5 off 13 is bowled by Shakib. No major swing this time as he misses the line of the ball which hits the middle stumps. AFG are 122/5 in the 29th over of the innings.
The experienced compaigner, Muhammad Nabi, also couldn’t survive the blow of Taskin who targets the leg stump and successfully removes Nabi who only makes 6 off 12 and AFG are 126/6.
From 112 for 2 in 25, they are now 126 for 6 in 30. Azmatullah Omarzai and Rashid Khan try scoring some runs but Rashid goes is bowled by Miraz on 150 in the 35th.
It’s coming quick triple wickets for BAN as Shorful cleans bowled Omarzai following Miraz who also clean up Mujeeb in the next over. Shoriful comes again to dismiss the last batter and comes the innings to a quick end. Shoriful again removes Naveen ul Haq without offering them single run. AFG lose 3 on 156. Mehidy and Shoriful are the late innings hero who never seem wasting any time so removing the tail-enders in their own style.
