Bangladesh won the toss and decided to have a go with the bat in an important match against India. Bangladesh got the start that they were looking for. Tanzid and Litton gave their team a flying start. They added 94 runs for the first wicket with Tanzid’s maiden ODI fifty. He started a bit slowly but as his inning progressed he started to express himself. He scored 51 runs off 53 balls. Litton played well for his 50 but he was a bit slow.
Kuldeep got an important breakthrough for his team after they punished all Indian bowlers. Tanzid got by Kuldeep after he completed his maiden fifty. The second wicket fell at 110 when Jadeja was bowled out by Najmul Hossain Shanto for 8 runs.
After that Bangladesh kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. At one stage Bangladesh was 137 for the loss of 4 wickets. But Mushfiq Ur Raheem’s played a good inning under pressure. He made 38 runs. Muhammadullah Riyad played a great knock at the end. His strike rate was well over 100. He made 46 off 36 balls.
Indian bowlers were brilliant by restricting Bangladesh to 256 after an explosive start. Bumrah, Siraj, Thakur, Kuldeep, and Jadeja all were among the wickets. It was a team bowling performance and that is the reason why the Indian bowling attack is looking more dangerous.
The bad news for Indian fans is that Hardik got injured in his first over. He has been sent to the hospital for scans. He might not participate in today’s match. A great setback for the Indian team.
