Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav and his wife, Devisha Shetty, recently recreated a cherished photograph from 2024. The original image captured them comfortably lying on a bed with the T20 World Cup trophy prominently displayed between them.

This heartwarming original picture was first shared by Devisha in 2024, following India's second T20 World Cup victory, captioned 'It's going to be a good night's sleep.' Nearly two years later, Suryakumar posted the recreated version, aptly captioned 'Déjà vu.'

Recalling the 2024 final in Barbados, Suryakumar Yadav made a crucial, spectacular catch in the last over, leading to the dismissal of the dangerous David Miller. Fast forward to 2026, he captained the Men in Blue to an unprecedented third T20 World Cup title, marking India as the first team to win the tournament three times and also achieve consecutive victories. Furthermore, India made history as the first host nation to clinch the T20 World Cup trophy.

Throughout the 2026 tournament, India showcased formidable form, with their sole defeat occurring against South Africa during the Super 8 stage. The Men in Blue ultimately secured the coveted title by triumphing over New Zealand in the final, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8.

Opting to bat first, India posted an imposing total of 255/5 on a high-scoring pitch at the enormous stadium. Sanju Samson led the charge with an impressive 89 runs off 46 balls, supported by rapid half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Shivam Dube's vital cameo further boosted India to their formidable score.

In response, New Zealand struggled to keep pace with India's aggressive batting. Jasprit Bumrah delivered a stellar performance, claiming a remarkable four-wicket haul. Consequently, the Kiwis were dismissed for 159 runs, resulting in a decisive 96-run victory for India in the one-sided contest.
