Danish Kaneria Blames Pakistan Cricket Board for filing ICC Complaint Regarding Crowd in Ahmedabad

Danish Kaneria Blames Pakistan Cricket Board For Filing ICC Complaint Regarding Crowd in Ahmedabad. Danish Kaneria, a former leg-spinner for Pakistan, has taken aim at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), citing several grievances against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in a complaint filed with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.

The treatment of the Pakistani cricket team by the Ahmedabad fans during their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium last week has been one of PCB’s biggest worries.

One of the few Hindu players for the Pakistan team, Kaneria, questioned PCB on the social media site “X.” “Who asked Zainab Abbas, a Pakistani journalist, to make a statement criticizing India and Hindus? Mickey Arthur was ordered to refer to an ICC event as a BCCI event. Who requested that Rizwan do the Namaz in the playground? Never point out flaws in others! Kaneria sent a tweet.

On Tuesday, the PCB brought up a number of problems with the ICC. According to a PCB release, “The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in granting visas to Pakistani journalists and the lack of a policy regarding visas for Pakistani fans attending the ongoing World Cup 2023.”

Additionally, the statement stated, “The PCB has filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs. Pakistan match held on October 14, 2023.”

After the game, Pakistan’s squad director, Mickey Arthur, expressed his displeasure at the lack of support his team received in the largest stadium in the world. Three days after the game, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to file a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) in order to address this issue. In addition, the PCB has filed a formal complaint over the delay in issuing visas to Pakistani journalists and the absence of a clear policy regarding visas for supporters.
