BAN Chose to Bowl First

It’s the sixth day of ICC Men’s Cricket World cup 2023, India with the 7th group stage game on card at Dharamsala. Their will be a great contest between BAN and ENG in ICC CWC23. Bangladesh have already taken down high spirited AFG in their first match of CWC23 at the same sandy-venue. While, ENG stood on the loosing side against NZ in the ICC WC23 opener at Ahmedabad. 

BAn skipper Shakib seems lucky today as he win the toss again and elects to bat first against ENG and repeat the episode in their 2nd game. On the other hand, ENG losing their 1st match of the ICC ODI Men’s Cricket Worldcup would try to labour out for winning this one to open their account in the ICC Men’s WC23. 

Both teams make one change in their playing eleven. England have rested Moin and brought back Reece Toplay for strengthening their pace attack whilst Bangladesh have given an opportunity to Mehidy Hasan agaisnt Mahmmadullah. 

Jonny Bairstow, achieving 100th ODI feat, will open the innings with David Malan. Likewise, BAN decide to go with the most experienced pacers Mustafiz and Taskin to open the bowling in this ICC CWC match 7 at Dharamsala. 

Bairstow and Malan provide solid platform and post 115-runs stand until Shakib’s genius comes into Play. The opening stand is broken by the Skipper himself with Baristow returns to the pavilion after scoring 52 off 59 in the 18th over. The right-hand batter who tries to flick it away, misses the line of the ball and gets his leg stump going off the ground.

151-runs partnership for the 2nd wicket has been broken by Mahedi Hasan when Malan misses the slowish delivery and gets his top of off. Malan goes for 140 off 107 striking at almost 131. Buttler comes in to pace the innings but goes for 20 off 10 and falls to Shoriful.

Shoriful begins the third power play with a huge roar. He provides double strikes for BAN and quickly removes Root and Livingston. Root goes for 82 off 68 while Livingston is sent back without opening his account. ENG are 5 down for 307 in 42.

The fifth down Harry Brook goes this time after scoring 20 off 15. He tries to clear the long-off but the ball gets the elevation and caught on at long-off. ENG are down to 7 for 334 in 46.4. This time Sam Curren goes for 11 off 15. The last man to be removed is Adil Rashid who is trying to slog over midwicket but couldn;t clear.

England end their 50-overs innings for 364 for 9.
