ENG Vs BAN Warm-up Match, Guwahati, Fall of Wickets - BAN Inning

Guwahati is the host of another ICC Cricket World Cup 2023’s Warm-up match between England and Bangladesh. Bangladeshi standing skipper, Shanto, won the toss and decided to bat first against England for testing his batters against the pace and swing of English bowlers in this ICC WC 2023’s Warm-up game.  

The 2nd last day of the Warm-up phase kicks start with Bangla Opener, Tanzid Hasan & Litton Das taking on English pace attack: Reece Toplay & Sam Curren. Bangladesh got a flying start as they gathered 18 in first 2 overs of the warm-up game of ICC ODI Worrldcup 2023, both left-arm fast bowlers looked offcolour in their opening overs but came back brilliantly. Reece Toplay toppled Das in his 2nd over as he was trapped behind the stumps when Bangladesh were 18 in 2.1.

Next came Najmul Hossain Shanto who was totally between the devil and the deep sea. Shanto also went for 2 off 11 in the 5th over and Reece Toplay got his man to deep third man. Bangladesh were 26 for 2 at the end of the 5th over of the inning. 

Tanzid and Miraz looked in good touch until Wood came in to shatter Tanzid stumps. This time 52 runs partnership ended by an inside edge and Tanzid went back to the pavillion after scoring 45 off 44 with a strike rate of 102. Next came Bangladeshi Wicket-keeper batter Mushfiq.

Mushfiq and Miraz were rebuilding the inning when Rashid came through to the defences of Mushfiq and give him a handsome farewell. Mushfiq was off to the dugout with a beautiful googly form the English magician. He just scored 8 off 15 and apened the door for Muhamadullah.

Muhamadullah was aggressive right from the first ball he had faced. He was eyeing to attack one of the googly master Adil Rahisd. He’s down the track made the flighted one to the full toss and lifted it over deep midwicket where Livingston took an easy catch to dismiss Muhamadullah on 18 off 21 when the scorecard was 138 at 26.3.

Rain affected Bangladesh a bit as the resumption caused chaos in their lineup. Sam Curren conquered Tohid Hridoy in the 32nd over of the inning and caught by Root. The next batter also proved a sandwall against the England’s Pace factory. David Willey took 2 back to back wikets and did what Tigers’ didn’t expected. First Mehidy and then Nasum went back to the pavillion in 34th over of the inning when Bangladesh were on 173. Reece Toplay’s Yorker dismissed Mahedi Hasan in the following over.
