Finalized PSL 9 security strategy  are discussed In order to guarantee the safety and seamless operation of the much awaited event, the security plans for the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been carefully completed.

A thorough security strategy has been developed, and 17,176 police officers will be stationed in three major areas, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, where the matches are expected to be held. In order to strengthen security protocols, three army companies will also be lending their knowledge to protect the event.

With 6,936 policemen, Lahore would have the largest deployment of police in terms of a strategic distribution, followed by 5,700 in Multan and 4,538 in Rawalpindi. Together with neighboring districts, the police will control traffic in the host cities by supervising team movements and installing jammers during games.

In addition to round-the-clock surveillance made possible by Safe Cities’ cameras, PSL routes will be monitored by aerial patrols using helicopters to improve surveillance capabilities. To provide thorough coverage, more cameras will be positioned strategically inside stadiums and along cricket teams’ itineraries.

Part of the comprehensive security plan will include the deployment of camera-equipped drones and mobile command vans. In addition, there will be visible law enforcement during the competition thanks to the patrolling of 20 Dolphin and 20 Elite Force units throughout the courses.

In order to ensure their safety and security for the entire tournament, PSL cricket teams will be treated as state guests and given VIP treatment.

Lahore Qalandars, the reigning champions, and Islamabad United, the winners of the 2016 and 2018 tournaments, will square off in the inaugural game, setting up an exciting beginning to the competition. Gaddafi Stadium and Karachi Kings will host the much awaited match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings on February 24 and March 9.
