Barcelona star Gavi has taken to social media to bid a heartfelt farewell to his close friend and former teammate Ansu Fati. This comes just after Fati’s permanent transfer away from Barcelona was finalized.
Ansu Fati spent the previous season on loan at AS Monaco, where the 23-year-old attacker enjoyed a successful stint, scoring 12 goals across Ligue 1 and the Champions League. His performance in France convinced Monaco to make his move permanent.
After weeks of negotiations, Barcelona officially announced the sale of their one-time prodigy on Tuesday.
Gavi was quick to send a message of well wishes to his now former teammate. On his official Instagram account, the midfielder shared a photo of himself and Ansu Fati in Barcelona colors, along with the touching caption:
“Always one of my own, I’ll miss you a lot, brother.”
