The Italian volleyball club Conegliano has made a significant addition to its roster by signing experienced Chinese setter Yao Di. The 34-year-old playmaker is set to be the understudy to Joanna Wolosz, providing valuable depth and experience to the team’s lineup.
Yao Di boasts an impressive career, having won numerous trophies in her homeland and with the Chinese national team. Her arrival in Italy marks a return to Serie A1 after a stint with Scandicci during the 2022/2023 season. In her previous season with the Tuscan club, she contributed to their victory in the CEV Cup.
This acquisition highlights Conegliano’s ambition to maintain its dominance and strengthen its competitive edge in both domestic and international competitions.
