Barcelona midfielder Gavi has shared his perspective, suggesting that their fierce rivals, Real Madrid, have acquired Marc Cucurella specifically to diminish the influence of Lamine Yamal in upcoming encounters between the two clubs.

“Well… Real Madrid have been changing their full-backs frequently lately! That’s the impact of having Lamine Yamal at Barça.
He is simply the best. Now they’ve signed Cucurella to try and stop Lamine. He’s a good rival, and a good player, I appreciate that.”
