Manoj Tiwary, a former Indian batter who is currently West Bengal’s minister for sports, stated that he thought Pakistani cricket captain Babar Azam should improve as a leader by being more proactive and flexible in game situations. 

Tiwary cited a situation in which Babar persisted with a bowler who was having trouble, implying that a proactive captain need to be prepared to make adjustments to plans in response to the changing circumstances of the match.

“I think Babar could have done a better job leading the team; he needs to take initiative and plan ahead. Take the way he carried on Shadab’s bowling demonstration even after realising that he was having trouble finding his rhythm.

He should be ready to adjust his plans in light of the circumstances during the match. In an interview with a local news programme, Tiwary stated that there are instances when you have to alter your original plans due to unforeseen circumstances on the pitch.

In a daring declaration, Tiwary questioned the idea that the same Pakistan side will go on a winning streak under MS Dhoni’s guidance.

“I challenge that this team will be on a winning streak if we give it to the same Pakistan team led by MS Dhoni,” Tiwary continued.

Tiwary acknowledged Babar Azam’s capacity to execute reliably under duress while applauding his batting prowess.

“Under extreme circumstances, Barry is an excellent player. It is unfair to attribute Pakistan’s results to him alone. He possesses the abilities to rank among the greats like Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar. He is without a doubt Pakistan’s best batter of this generation, he declared.
