Hafeez holds players accountable for the defeats of Australia and New Zealand. Hafeez’s term as director of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is anticipated to end after the team’s underwhelming performances during their previous travels to Australia and New Zealand. The PCB is going through a major leadership transition. PCB will probably ask Hafeez not to sign a new contract after Pakistan lost 4-1 against New Zealand and 3-0 to Australia.

As per the notice from the Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ministry, Shah Khawar, the recently appointed Election Commissioner of PCB and an advocate at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, has taken on the role of Chairman of the PCB.

As the PCB’s fifth leader in the previous 14 months, Khawar hopes to manage the organization in an open and transparent manner and thanks Mr. Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the PCB’s patron, for his confidence.

The PCB’s patron, caretaker prime minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, has proposed Mohsin Naqvi to take Zaka Ashraf’s place as the Board of Governors (BoG) representative. Mohsin Naqvi’s nomination was confirmed by Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Fawad Hasan Fawad, in line with the ongoing modifications to PCB’s governance framework.

The events point to a period of transition for PCB, with an emphasis on resolving issues and fortifying the organization’s leadership in preparation for next projects. In order to protect Pakistan cricket’s best interests, PCB is steadfast in its commitment to promoting accountability and openness in its operations as the game changes.
