Harbhajan Singh On India’s World Cup Goals: “Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya Big Players But…” The eagerly anticipated ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will take place in India in October of this year. The Rohit Sharma-led team will attempt to end their ten-year ICC trophy drought with this competition.

The competition will get underway on October 5 in Ahmedabad when reigning champions England take on New Zealand. On October 8 in Chennai, India will play their first game of the season against Australia. According to former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, the entire squad must perform as a unit if India is to win the World Cup.

Only one or two members of Team India have excelled under pressure, according to Harbhajan. He said that everyone on the team should be able to stand up when things get tense.

“I’m not sure; it’s hard for me to explain what we had and what they didn’t. In 2015 and 2019, we played all the way to the semifinals, but no ICC trophy appeared. Maybe only one or two players have shown the capacity to counterpunch after absorbing pressure. As a team, you must compete in major competitions, Harbhajan told News24 Sports.

He continued, “You have Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya,  these are major players, but along with these three players, the rest of the eight to ten players, and the team management, everyone has to walk together with the same objective.”

The illustrious spinner added that Team India must concentrate on tiny details, such as saving one, in order to create “bigger results.”

“The seemingly insignificant acts, like preserving a single or pulling off a fantastic run-out, are also enormous things. Therefore, when a team plays together, they can achieve greater results, and it is likely what our team did better. They might have more talent than our team, Harbhajan speculated.

The second Test of the two-match series between Team India and the West Indies is currently being prepared and will start on Thursday at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

In the first Test, the team lead by Rohit Sharma ruthlessly destroyed the hosts by an innings and 141 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, a rookie, won Player of the Match for her outstanding 171-run innings. Ravichandran Ashwin, an all-arounder, also claimed a staggering total of 12 wickets.
