Each side receives ten points for a victory, five for a draw, no outcome, or an abandoned game, and zero for a defeat.

A straight entry into the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be given to the top eight teams. The five Associate teams and the remaining teams will compete in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualification. Thereafter, two teams from the qualifying competition will advance to the World Cup. India qualifies without having to do anything because they are the event hosts.

A victorious team would receive two points under the rules, while a losing team would receive a score of zero.
