India Registered Their Fourth Consecutive Win in the ICC World Cup 2023 Against Bangladesh

India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets with 51 balls remaining. Another win for the hosts with a Brilliant 100 from Virat Kholi. KL Rahul helped him to do so. He refused to take singles when got to 80 allowing him to get his milestone. India’s winning streak continues as they won their 4th match of the tournament and will meet New Zealand with the “Unbeaten Tag”. Remember that New Zealand is also unbeaten in the tournament.

Before the start, it was considered a tricky match for India due to past results of Bangladesh against the host. Bangladesh started very well with the 94 opening partnership between Tanzid and Litton. After that, it was all India. India came back very strongly from the initial storm. Indian bowling is one of the best bowling attacks in the ICC World Cup 2023.

Bangladesh batted well to post 256 on the board. But it was not enough for a batting lineup like India. Tnazid and Litton were the top scorers. All the Indian bowlers were among the wickets. It was a team bowling performance. Kuldeep started, and Bumrah finshed it. Everyone chipped in with the bowl in hand.

In the chase of 257 runs, the Hitman Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started as usual. They hit every bowler out of the park. Openers added 88 runs in 12.4 overs. Rohit unfortunately couldn’t get to his fifty. Shubman Gill scored his maiden World Cup 50.

After that, it was all Virat Kohli. He had a dream start by having two No-balls at the start of his inning. He went to 12 without facing a ball. And eventually, he got his 48th ODI 100 in the ICC World Cup 2023.

India and New Zealand are the two unbeaten teams in the tournament and are better placed to qualify for the Semi-Finals. India is now a clear favorite to claim the title.

India chased down the 257-run target in 41.3 overs. It was not that easy the way they made it. New Zealand is leading the points table with better NRR. India is just behind New Zealand. Pakistan is at No.4 and will take on Australia in the next match.
