India’s Chances for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, According to Sanjay Manjrekar. It’s that time of year again, when the majority of cricket fans and ex-players start formulating their predictions for the crucial ICC ODI World Cup 2023, which will start on October 5 in India. India’s 15-man squad for the domestic 50-over mega event was unveiled on Tuesday by chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma. Sanjay Manjrekar, a former Indian cricketer, has now shared his assessment of India’s chances in this World Cup competition.

It’s interesting to note that India lost to Australia and New Zealand in the semi-finals of the last two ODI World Cup competitions in 2015 and 2019, respectively.

“Yes, I believe the selectors did a good job taking into account their options. The execution of the plan in the main game is everything right now. I predict that India will make it to the semifinals, but after the semifinals, India will face a challenge. We’ve seen a few of the squads; there are some good sides out there. It won’t be simple, but yes, this team is strong enough to win the World Cup, according to Sanjay Manjrekar in a recent interview.

Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul were chosen as the wicket-keeper batters for the 15-member India team for the World Cup in 2023, with Sanju Samson unlucky to be left out. Yuzvendra Chahal, a right-arm leg spinner, was left off the 15-man roster for the ODI World Cup, much like the Asia Cup 2023, as Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel were chosen for the national side.

After defeating Nepal by a score of 10 wickets in the interim, India has already advanced to the Super 4 round of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. On September 10 in Colombo, the Men in Blue and their bitter rivals Pakistan will square off.
