Italy’s New Coach Gattuso Visits Roma Ahead of First Squad List for 2026 Qualifiers

Italy`s recently appointed head coach, Gennaro Gattuso, visited AS Roma`s Trigoria training complex today. During his visit, he met with coach Gian Piero Gasperini and held discussions with the Italian players at the club.

Gattuso, who took over from Luciano Spalletti this summer, is currently preparing to announce his inaugural squad selections for the critical 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

His debut match leading the Nazionale is scheduled for September 5 at home against Estonia. Following this, the team will face Israel on September 8 at a neutral venue.

Recognizing the limited time available to familiarize himself with potential players, Gattuso plans to visit numerous Serie A clubs during their pre-season training camps.
