Reports suggest Manchester United is preparing a bid of up to €40 million for Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoumé, a move that could significantly benefit Inter Milan financially.
Agoumé, 23, initially arrived at Inter from FC Sochaux in 2019 for €4.5 million, though he only made four senior team appearances for the club.
His career with Inter involved several loan spells at Spezia, Brest, and Troyes, before his transfer to Sevilla was made permanent in 2024.
Sevilla`s Option to Limit Inter`s Profit on Agoumé

The permanent transfer agreement to Sevilla was valued at €8 million, including a clause granting Inter a 50 percent share of any future sale.
Consequently, a reported €40 million transfer of Agoumé to Manchester United would net the Nerazzurri €20 million.
However, Sevilla possesses an option to pay an additional €4 million to reduce Inter`s sell-on clause from 50% to a mere 10%.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Sevilla intends to activate this clause, resulting in Inter receiving €4 million from the option plus an additional €4 million from the 10% sell-on fee (assuming a €40m sale).
