Netherlands Announced  Their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Squad

Netherlands announced their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Squad. The Netherlands Cricket announced on Thursday that a 15-member team will compete in the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which will be held in India from October 5 to November 19.

For the Netherlands’ World Cup campaign, Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann were invited back after the veterans were unable to participate in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier competition, which was how the Netherlands qualified for the World Cup.

27-year-old Following their failure to advance to the ODI World Cup in 2015 and 2019, wicket-keeper batter Scott Edwards will serve as the team’s captain.

The Netherlands had previously taken part in four ODI World Cups, making their debut in the 1996 competition, but they were not able to advance to the 1999 competition. They then took part in three World Cups in a row, in 2003, 2007, and 2011.

Prior to facing Pakistan on 6 October at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, the Netherlands will play practice matches against Australia on 30 September and India on 3 October.
