Al-Ittihad is reportedly open to the departure of French international midfielder N`Golo Kanté, aged 34, as his contract with the Saudi Pro League club approaches its final months. Kanté, who joined Al-Ittihad two years ago from Chelsea FC on a three-year agreement, could be on the move as the Saudi club reportedly plans a significant squad reduction by the close of the summer transfer window.
Sources indicate that Al-Ittihad would be amenable to parting ways with the veteran midfielder should a suitable transfer offer come forward. It is understood that Kanté’s agent has been proactively exploring new opportunities for his client.
Several clubs have been approached regarding Kanté`s potential availability. Notably, two French Ligue 1 teams, AS Monaco and Paris FC, have reportedly been offered the chance to secure the services of the industrious defensive player. Furthermore, fellow Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah is also said to have received an offer for Kanté.
