OGC Nice is reportedly nearing an agreement to sign 23-year-old Hamburg forward Ransford Yeboah-Königsdörffer, as per information from L`Équipe. The transfer fee for the Ghanaian international is estimated to be between €6-7 million, signaling a significant investment by the French club.
Although the transfer is not yet fully concluded between the clubs, Yeboah-Königsdörffer has already successfully completed his medical examination. OGC Nice is keen to register him promptly, with the aim of having him available for their crucial UEFA Champions League third-round qualifying match against SL Benfica on August 6th, which marks the official start of their new season.
Last season, the talented center-forward showcased his scoring prowess by netting an impressive 14 goals in the Bundesliga 2 for Hamburg. His potential arrival is expected to significantly bolster Nice`s attacking options and provide healthy competition for current Nigerian striker Terem Moffi. Furthermore, Yeboah-Königsdörffer’s acquisition could facilitate the anticipated departure of Evann Guessand before the summer transfer window officially closes.
