The last WC Finalists: ENG and NZ come across each other for the opener of ICC Men’s Cricket Worldcup opening Match. Ahmedabad, witht he capacity of one lac thirty-thousand, hosts the opener between these two teams.

Joe Root stands firm and tall with his fifty in 57 balls striking at 88 including two 4s and one 6. Buttler has played some brillaint shots nicks of to Latham and 5 down for England. Next comes Livingston who joins one of the fab-4, Root, who has been solid throught the innings. Unfortunately, Liam Livingston couldn’t survive longer and chips in the air and caught by Henry. England are 224/6 at the end of 40.

The final Power play is still haunting England as Joe Root’s Reverse sweep attempt gets him bowled. This time Philips, who is into his 2nd over cleans bowled set Root and leaves England in the lurch. 2 new batters are on crease to play the remaing overs. Mitchell Santner completes his full quota conceding 37 runs with an economy of 3.7 and taking 2 wickets.

Matt Henry proving himself as the man to watch with his superb bowling performance. He gets another wicket of Curren in his 9th over. Curren goes for 14 off 19 and lst man Mark Wood joins Adil Rashid at Ahmedabad for adding some runs to the tally.

England’s disappointment with the bat continues and NZ can bring their moral down by bowling them out before the 50th over. Matt Henry Also completes his quota by giving away only 48 with 4.8 economy grabbing 3 wickets. NZ’s front-line bowler, Trent Boult also finishes his 10 overs giving away 48 for 1.

Surprisingly, the Bazball followers only managed 2 boundary in the final 10. That’s England only added 58 runs in the final ten beside losing 3 wickets with regular intervels. Adil and Wood recover the innings to some extent and added 30 for the final wicket-stand.
