AS Roma has officially confirmed the acquisition of Wesley França from Flamengo in a deal reportedly valued at €25 million, potentially increasing by €5 million in performance-related add-ons.
The 21-year-old right-back, who turns 22 this September, rose through the ranks of Flamengo`s acclaimed youth academy before cementing his place in their senior team.
Wesley`s signing was a specific request from Roma`s new head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini. He has also already earned two caps for the Brazilian national senior team.

After extended negotiations, Roma finalized the agreement, committing to an initial payment of approximately €25 million, supplemented by an additional €5 million in achievable bonuses.
He arrived in Rome over the weekend to undergo his medical examinations and subsequently signed a long-term contract, committing to the club until June 2030.
Wesley will don the number 43 shirt, marking him as the 46th Brazilian player in AS Roma`s history.
While primarily a traditional right-back, his role at the Stadio Olimpico is expected to be a more attacking wing-back, aligning with Coach Gasperini`s tactical system.
